Peace One Day was created in 1999 by filmmaker Jeremy Gilley and was instrumental in promoting the same calendar day each year for Peace Day. The Day the United Nations has “…invited all Member States , organisations of the UN, regional and NGOs and individuals to commemorate, in an appropriate manner, the International Day of Peace, including through education and public awareness…” ( Click here to read the full UN resolution. )
